Window Valance Ideas: My Friendly Contribution

Whenever my friends want to redecorate their rooms they always ask for my advice because I am really interested in interior design. Although I don’t have any professional experience I gained the trust of my friends when they saw how I designed and arranged the different rooms in my house. More than that my designs are never costly because I try to recycle and make over the same pieces.

Most of the time when my friends ask me for advice as to what would be the quickest way to give their rooms a new lift I just give them window valance ideas. Adding or changing window valences gives the room a different feel especially if you use different colors and textures. Even if they do not know how to sew there are no-sew window valences that I teach them, apart from color coordination and theme selection. Needless to say my friends are really grateful whenever they see the final results.

Lladro Figurines And The Fantasy Collection

Jaime Hayon, a world famous art designer worked with Lladro in 2005. He now works as Lladro’s artistic advisor and created the Fantasy Collection. The Fantasy Collection by Jaime Hayon is a positive cross pollination of the designer’s world and that of Lladro’s. It is a magical art of the unexpected and can only be breathtaking.

The Fantasy Collection by Jaime Hayon consists not only of LLadro Figurines but of other porcelain items as well. Harlequin face cufflinks and earrings are part of the collection along with bud vases named “Masquerade Heads”. There are even simple white chopsticks called “Garden Aperitiff Chopsticks”. Humanoid figures in Hayon’s collection have Shrek- shaped ears. There’s a sculpture called “The Family Portrait” wherein a couple has a humanoid child with a humanoid toy.
